23: A psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,    I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 121 Levavi oculos

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills; * from where is my help to come?

2 My help comes from the LORD, * the maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot be moved * and he who watches over you will not fall asleep.

4 Behold, he who keeps watch over Israel * shall neither slumber nor sleep;

5 The LORD himself watches over you; * the LORD is your shade at your right hand,

6 So that the sun shall not strike you by day, * nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; * it is he who shall keep you safe.

8 The LORD shall watch over your going out and your coming in, * from this time forth for evermore.

Gloria Patre
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as
it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

The Lord's Prayer (from the Book of Common Prayer, 1979)

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory,

for ever and ever. Amen.

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your Name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours,
now and for ever. Amen.

Navajo Woman's Prayer

In beauty may I walk
all day long may I walk
through the returning seasons may I walk
beautifully will I possess again,
beautiful birds
beautiful joyful birds
on the trail marked with pollen may I walk
with grasshoppers about my feet may I walk
with dew about my feet may I walk
with beauty before me, behind me, above me,
all around me,may I walk
in old age wondering on a trail of beauty lively,
may I walk
it is finished in beauty
it is finished in beauty.

A Blessing

May the Great Spirit send his choicest gifts to you;

May the Sun Father and

the Moon Mother shed their softest beams on you;

May the four winds of heaven blow gently upon you

and upon those with whom you
share your heart and home.
